DEPARTMENT OF PLANING AND POLICY
About The Department
The Department of planning and policy is responsible for planning and policy organizing
directing, controlling and coordination policies, strategies and programs of the ministry of
Livestock, Forestry and Range.
The department has 7 sections: statistics section, monitoring and evaluation section, planning
section, capacity building section, project management section, Economic development section, policy and laws section.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIEES
THE DEPARTMENT SECTIONS
The Department is structured into Five sections, each section focused on specific areas of responsibility.
Statistics Section
Responsible for the collection, analysis, and dissemination of statistical data related to livestock, forestry, and range management.
Planning Section
Lead the strategic planning processes for the Ministry, ensuring alignment with national policies and priorities
Project Management Section
Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of development projects in the livestock, forestry, and range sectors.
Monitoring and Evaluation Section
Develop and implement Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) frameworks for departmental programs and projects.
Capacity Building Section
Identify training and development needs for personnel within the Ministry and relevant stakeholders.
