About The Department
The Department of Quarantine is responsible t is under the jurisdiction of the whole country and the agreements entered into with the countries that take livestock from our country and the conditions to be agreed upon It is under the control of organizations or traders of animal feed in the whole country which is in accordance with the international law because we are one country and also responsible for the communication between Livestock Traders and the ministry.

THE DEPARTMENT SECTIONS
The Department is structured into Five sections, each section focused on specific areas of responsibility.
Office of the Laws Division for Order Processing and Record Keeping
Ensure compliance with national and international laws related to livestock trade.
Laboratory Office
Perform laboratory testing and analysis on livestock and animal products to ensure health and safety standards are met.
Livestock Marketing Office
Facilitate marketing strategies for livestock producers and traders to improve market access.
Office of Doctors and Port Assistants
Provide veterinary oversight and health inspections at entry and exit points for livestock (e.g., ports, borders).
Office of Investigation of Animal Health
Conduct investigations of any reported diseases or health issues affecting livestock
Animal Rest and Nutrition Office
Promote best practices for the welfare, rest, and proper nutrition of livestock.
Livestock Certification Office
Issue health and quality certifications for livestock that meet compliance standards for trade.
Business Liaison Office
Act as a conduit between livestock traders and the government ministry to facilitate communication and address concerns.
